Step One: Register

The first step in the process is to register with Birthright Israel. It's important to note that .edu e-mail addresses are not accepted by the Birthright Israel system so be sure to have a backup e-mail address ready! Your e-mail address will become your user ID. Make sure to write down the user ID and password since you will need it throughout the process.

Step Two: Confirm E-mail

After you have registered you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Birthright Israel. Don't forget to click the link to confirm your e-mail address. Your application isn't complete until your e-mail address has been confirmed!

Step Three: Complete Application Part 1

Part 1 of the application is administered by Birthright Israel. This is your primary application, which is also referred to as Part I.

Part 1 includes 8 sections:
  • General Information – includes all contact information
  • Trip Selection
  • Jewish Background
  • Previous Israel Experience
  • Essays
  • The online Birthright Israel Gift Waiver
  • Submit the $250.00 refundable deposit
  • Trip date requests (if requesting a non-campus trip)
  • Medical and emergency contact information
  • Roommate requests
  • Allergies and dietary needs
  • Confirmation of your e-mail address

Step Four: One-on-One Chat

The last step to complete the application process is an informational chat with the Hillel professional on your campus or with a member of the Birthright Israel: Hillel team. This chat gives us a chance to get to know you better, determine your eligibility and it's a great time to ask any questions you might have.

This trip is a gift from
